Process

Working together to create the perfect personal encounter

Personal encounters and events are unique in the way they are able to draw people in. To arouse genuine emotions, all the details have to intertwine. Live Lab works with you within a structured, multi-stage process designed to provide maximum quality.

We alternate between two different approaches:
creation and analysis. Creation explores possibilities, while analysis selects the best options. In the illustration, the opening (creation) and closing (analysis) of the scissors indicates the number of options that Live Lab explores together with you. The process involves meetings, checks, approvals and quality management/control.

Strategy

Defining the direction of the encounter

Companies have a huge range of ways to conduct live marketing activities. These options are consolidated during the strategy process. Each strategic decision filters the best options and stabilises the creative playing field: What is the company’s DNA? Which activities are already there and how successful are they? What targets do we want to achieve? Who belongs to the target group? What messages do we want to reinforce? The analysis enables us to formulate the strategy and the briefing. Live Lab supports you right from the start and brings strategic development, communications and event expertise, e.g. in exchange meetings, strategic workshops or via our online content.

Design

Developing the encounter

This is Live Lab’s core area of expertise. All design phases start with an intensive analysis. The resulting strategy provides the basis on which to organise emotional encounters with other people. We work with a concept team whose members are selected according to the project requirements. You can work directly with us or simply oversee the process. Everything is possible, and the process is fun and rewarding. We use the strategy to create messages and tell a consistent story across all touch points, thereby allowing the encounter to take shape. To keep everything efficient and streamlined at all times, a project manager oversees the project right from the start. After the briefing or pitch, Live Lab can also organise creative workshops alongside the design process (such as the creative playground).

Implementation

Realising the encounter

The next stage is to implement the concept step by step, usually in conjunction with various sub-projects. This involves expert advice, diligent project management, smart deals and the desire to zero in on problems and solve them. We also seek the services of suitable partners. Meanwhile, you have a single point of contact who is responsible for everything: your own account director.

Event

The encounter itself

Every event has a spontaneous feel to it and every encounter is live. As experienced professionals, we know exactly what we need to do to ensure your event is a success. We set up the scenery and equipment, conduct briefings with all staff members, do a trial run of the show, direct all operations, organise coaching for speakers, etc. Live Lab manages the event, leaving you to interact with your guests. Afterwards, we dismantle the props and clear everything away. We can also store things for later use if required.

Debriefing

Getting ahead together.

Every encounter is an opportunity to gain experience. We discuss the lessons learned and share them with our partners and customers so everybody benefits. A debriefing establishes the basis for upcoming projects and enables us to add to our wealth of experience. After all, our ultimate aim is to improve together.

«We have been working with Live Lab at the World Economic Forum in Davos for a number of years now. Its dedicated team is extremely professional and always works with us to meet our exact requirements while keeping things clear and simple.
