Since 2012, Doppelleu has been making a lasting mark on the Swiss beer market as Switzerland's leading independent craft brewery with production sites in Winterthur and Yverdon-les-Bains - and doing so with passion, creativity and the highest quality.
Philip Bucher and Jörg Schönberg founded the successful Winterthur brand Doppelleu in 2012 with the popular products Chopfab and Boxer. In the ten years since its founding, the brewery has achieved great things and its flavourful and characterful craft beer has won national and international beer awards. To celebrate these achievements and the anniversary in a fitting manner, Live Lab is supporting the brewery with the conception and implementation of the celebration.
To celebrate ten years of beer enjoyment, guests were invited to the atmospheric Casinotheater Winterthur. A gala dinner took place in the festively lit hall, where the various Chopfab beers took centre stage. Instead of a table number, the round tables were labelled with the brewery’s different types of beer. On the tables with names like “Pumkin Spice Ale” and “Lemon Wheat”, guests found a Chopfab beer menu with all the brewery’s varieties. Guests were able to enjoy the different types of beer from the brewery’s varied range while experiencing culinary delights that were perfectly matched.
On stage, CEO Philip Bucher’s inspiring speech ensured that Chopfab’s success story was duly celebrated. As a highlight of the evening, the Swiss Beer Order “ad gloriam cerevisiae” (to the glory of beer) was awarded in honor by the Swiss Brewery Association to the two founders of the brewery, who have rendered outstanding services to beer and its culture. The convivial evening continued when dinner turned into a lively party. With good music from the well-known DJ Minus8, dancing, a cheerful mood and one or two more beers from the brewery’s assortment, the festive guests let the evening come to an end.
