Merantix, ETH AI Center & Swisscom | AI House 2024

In the heart of Davos, Live Lab transformed a historic building into the stage for the AI House as part of the Annual Meeting: A melting pot for discussions and collaborations that brought together leading minds on the future of artificial intelligence.

Over 30 partners, 170 renowned speakers and 5,000 participants came together at the AI House in the heart of the Davos mountains to spend five days intensively exploring topics such as the regulation of AI, its industrial applications and groundbreaking scientific breakthroughs. The development and realization of this platform was the result of close collaboration between leading innovators Merantix, the ETH AI Center, HPE, G42, Swisscom, the Institute for AI and Beyond and Live Lab as project lead agency. Through intensive collaboration, the AI House was launched as a multi-stakeholder platform for responsible progress in AI technology. This unique initiative made the AI House one of the most sought-after addresses at the Annual Meeting in Davos.

The AI House offered the perfect setting for comfort and dialog with a diverse program: A bar in the upper area and a second bar with a café and continuous catering offer in the basement provided culinary highlights. Several meeting rooms were also available for business discussions. The “Valley Stage” formed the center of the AI House, serving as the main stage for all panels and discussions and thus promoting the exchange of ideas and innovations.

During its presence in Davos, the AI House generated exceptional media coverage, underlining its importance in the discussion on artificial intelligence and its impact on our society. With more than 50 members of the press covering the event on radio, television, internet and print media, and over 60 accredited journalists on site, the AI House became a key attraction for media from around the world. The event was highlighted in renowned publications such as the Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ), CNBC, ZDF’s heute Journal update and the Wall Street Journal.

A highlight of the program were the appearances of important personalities such as the former British Prime Minister Theresa May and the German Federal Minister of Finance Christian Lindner.

The event concluded with an exclusive AI House Party on Thursday night. This provided an ideal opportunity for further networking in a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere, rounding off the event in a particularly impressive way.
