The International Trade Forum is the major meeting place for internationally active Swiss and Liechtenstein SMEs. The event offers companies the inspiration and the tools to make export business a success – a challenge for many SMEs, especially during the pandemic.

Usually, the International Trade Forum takes place in physical form. Since this was not possible in spring 2021, we had to completely redesign the event as a digital event. For us, this meant not only rethinking existing content. A different customer journey and the creation of new digital formats were also required. To this end, we set up a fully functional TV studio in the location of the International Trade Forum, Zurich’s X-TRA, which took 24 working hours to build and required 10 tons of material.

We created various animated segments for a dynamic live stream. In addition to various keynote presentations by experts and an address by the Federal Councillor and head of the FDFA, Ignazio Cassis, the program also included three blocks of five parallel, topic-specific breakout sessions to ensure the most constructive and efficient exchange possible among the participants.
