Personal project ⏐ Ünschi Pop-up

Personal project ⏐ Ünschi Pop-up, ,

Fresh from the region – without any detours

In the heart of Davos, the Ünschi initiative is sending a clear signal for the conscious use of resources. A walk-in pop-up on the promenade allows visitors to experience how easy sustainable consumption can be.

With the aim of reducing bottled water transportation and raising awareness of the quality of regional drinking water, the Ünschi initiative launched an immersive installation on the promenade in November 2025. The pop-up invites passers-by to buy their own Ünschi bottles and fill them with fresh spring water from Davos free of charge – treated with a mobile water station from BWT Switzerland. This is a sensible step for Switzerland, where around 50 liters of bottled water per capita are consumed annually despite the high quality of tap water.

The store provides information about regional water consumption in a playful way and encourages people to take responsibility—an approach that has been very well received. Significantly less bottled water was served at the 2025 Annual Meeting, and since then, more and more event organizers have been opting for “Ünsches Wasser.” From 2026, the store will remain open all year round.

Live Lab not only supported the project in terms of communication and visuals, but has been active part of the Ünschi movement since its inception in 2023. From the naming and logo to the product design, a strong visual identity was created that combines regionality, sustainability, and accessibility. Live Lab also developed the imagery and tone of the accompanying communication, both online and on site. Together with DavosWorks, Next Generations, and Richnerstutz, a strong initiative was created that is both visible and tangible.
