PORR |  PORR Congress 2017

PORR realises major projects such as bridges over fjords in Norway, office towers in Germany or the Doha metro in Qatar. Every two years the PORR Congress takes place in Vienna: Here the construction group presents its joint business successes and future strategies to 2000 participants from all international units and their partners. In order to get people on board, the content is to be made tangible in an inspiring way.

For PORR’s global teamwork, it is crucial that figures, strategies and visions are not only understood by the participants, but also carried emotionally. For this purpose, Live Lab is developing a 10-metre-high stage set as a geometric body with different levels: Live Lab plays the object with films and animations that are choreographed in such a way that projection and reality intertwine in a surprising way. For example, to kick things off with a projected film of the board of directors hilariously missing their own event. The group does everything to be there on time and heroically drills its way through the roof of the building to then – but now for real – abseil down from the ceiling directly onto the stage. The congress can begin. 

Throughout the congress, the geometric body shows the PORR contents: The strategies are presented as a look back and into the future – as projected animations that build up intelligently and parallel to the presentation. The congress is also accompanied by an interactive exhibition on the theme of the “World of PORR”.  

With this presentation, PORR shows its ambition to further expand its technological and structural lead as a construction group. But above all: that the motivation of its own employees is central to PORR. And they are enthusiastic.
