Each member of #TeamEarth is doing their part to help people succeed, ecosystems thrive, and societies flourish. With this message, Live Lab has been hosting exclusive Salesforce events in the unique "Dome" in Davos since 2014. The 500-square-metre venue is home to the Salesforce and Deloitte Uplink Reception in the evening and a lunch with Salesforce founder Marc Benioff the following day.

The Uplink Reception took place on Wednesday evening in the branded Dome. Salesforce and Deloitte hosted 120 guests for a cocktail party and flying dinner. The Dome was staged in the nature park look and woodland feel that is characteristic of Salesforce. Guests were transported to the glade of an enchanted forest with a 360-degree forest projection and real conifers and forest plants scattered throughout the interior. Singer-songwriter LT Smooth and his band welcomed guests musically. The live cooking show with a mainly vegetarian flying dinner rounded off the experience, while the impressive atmosphere seemed to continue through the large window front into the evening mountain panorama.

Marc’s Luncheon

Thursday was the traditional highlight of the Salesforce events in Davos: the annual lunch hosted by CEO Marc Benioff. On the way to the Dome, guests were immersed in the sounds and scents of the forest. Inside, life-size Salesforce mascots greeted attendees. Curious Astro, smart Einstein, charming bear Codey, and helpful goat Cloudy complemented the green forest islands, which were harmoniously staged with conifers, ferns, mosses, various plants, and rocks. The vegetarian lunch, with dishes such as baked and glazed celeriac with root vegetable jus, was served at large round tables. Among the guests was LT Smooth, a long-time member of the Salesforce family and personal friend of Marc Benioff, with his wife and daughter.

If Earth succeeds, we all succeed

Salesforce is challenging its guests from business, government and academia to become part of #TeamEarth by taking action on issues such as celebrating individuality, embracing diversity, supporting eco-preneurs and creating an actionable climate plan. As a highlight related to these topics, a panel of innovative thinkers and doers gathered on stage after lunch to share their thoughts on sustainability: musician and tech entrepreneur will.i.am, Laura J. Alber, President and CEO of Sonoma, cellist Yo-Yo MA, ITU Secretary-General Doreen Bogdan-Martin, renowned chef and humanitarian José Andrés, and Angela F. Williams, President and CEO of United Way Worldwide. Together with Marc Benioff, they inspired the 150 invited guests to take action for a better future.
