RoadCross | Ludovic’s Story

On behalf of the RoadCross Switzerland Foundation, we realized a prevention film to increase awareness of road safety among young people in the Romandy. The emotional and personal film tells the moving story of Ludovic.

The RoadCross Switzerland Foundation is the competence centre for road safety in Switzerland. It campaigns for safe mobility, helps those affected by road accidents and conducts prevention workshops at schools. The most important tool of RoadCross are personal stories of those affected. They show the consequences for different people involved in accidents and leave a lasting impression. After a testimonial video for German-speaking Switzerland, we also created a story for the Romandy region in 2023.  

In this empathetic film, we tell the story of Ludovic, who turned to RoadCross with his fate. The concept was developed in close and respectful collaboration with Ludovic and RoadCross. A low-light concept and close-ups practically put the viewer in Ludovic’s living room, where he tells his story. His words paint a picture of the night a motorcyclist got under his car. Fast-cut, abstract images create a second layer and encapsulate what he experienced. The editing frequency dynamically follows the narrative, sometimes pulling the viewer into the middle of the action before giving space for it to sink in again. The sound design underlines the build-up of tension and rounds off the emotional narrative. 

Thanks to Ludovic’s openness and trust, we managed to produce a touching testimonial film for RoadCross that resonates with viewers. The production included a longer version for use in prevention workshops, a short edit for release on RoadCross’ communication channels and three additional social media edits.
