Swiss Trailblazers discover the colourful facets of San Francisco

Dreamforce, Salesforce's annual global customer success show, was attended by a standalone Swiss delegation for the first time in 2019. Live Lab has designed a tailor-made complementary programme for the Swiss guests, providing a safe haven for networking and relaxation outside of the main Dreamforce programme.

We eased everyone into the week’s journey with a welcome reception on Sunday evening to provide smooth landings for arrivals. Monday’s exciting agenda comprised of a custom Innovation Day at the de Young Museum in the lush green and calm serenity of Golden Gate Park. The morning was filled with inspiring talks about innovation and what’s next in business. With the Fine Arts Museum all to themselves, the guests were divided into smaller groups after lunch to explore the museum with an interactive scavenger hunt. Being able to roam freely throughout the empty galleries brought childlike excitement to many faces and brought the group closer together.  

The guests were set up for their day with bespoke fitness sessions with award winning personal trainers followed by breakfast at the Fairmont. In the evenings guests could attend special receptions, where different Salesforce Partners co-hosted to create unique experiences. From enjoying local Napa wines to downtown roof terraces, Californian sunshine, Hawaiian Kahlua pig roasts and tropical cocktails, the program took the guests on a journey to experience multifaceted San Francisco at its best. One of the most memorable evenings was spent at The Pawn Shop, a hidden speakeasy bar only accessible by password. The guests arrived in a fake pawn shop frontage, where the Pawnmaster added to the mystery by quizzing attendees before finally showing them through a secret door revealing the glamourous reception space within. The enigmatic setting was propelled further by the evening’s costumed hosts in entertaining role play character and a spectacular aerial performance.  

At the end of the week, there were may more impressions the guests and the Live Lab project team took home with them, of which Barack Obama’s Dreamforce Keynote and Fleetwood Mac’s performance at Dreamfest were only some of the highlights.
